Nigerian business magnate, Olorogun Oskar Ibru, passed away on Wednesday at the age of 67 after a brief illness, as confirmed by his family, and reported by Arise News.
Oskar Ibru was a key figure and scion of the influential Ibru dynasty, leading the family conglomerate founded by his late father, Olorogun Michael Ibru.
The conglomerate holds significant interests in shipping, oil and gas, real estate, and commerce.
A visionary businessman and a custodian of his family's legacy, Oskar Ibru successfully continued the entrepreneurial spirit that established the Ibru Organisation as one of Nigeria's most recognized corporate brands.
Under his leadership, the group not only sustained its role in job and wealth creation but also actively supported various philanthropic and cultural initiatives.
His death came 9 years after the passing of the patriarch of the family, Michael Ibru, who died at 85.
