The Secretary to the Ondo State Government (SSG), Hon. Tayo Oluwatuyi, also known as Tukana, is dead.
Oluwatuyi, reports said, passed away on Saturday (January 4, 2025) as result of the complications from a horrific car accident that happened last month while he was traveling to Ibadan.
Many people were shocked by the unfortunate event, which also caused the state to go into mourning.
Since the accident, Hon. Oluwatuyi had been admitted to the Obafemi Awolowo Teaching Hospital in Ile-Ife, Osun State, where he was undergoing treatment.
He, however, passed away from his wounds early Saturday, despite the doctors' unrelenting attempts to preserve his life.
A key player in the administration of Ondo State, Hon. Tayo Oluwatuyi was instrumental in furthering the goals of the government.
He was well-known for his commitment and service, therefore the state and its citizens are deeply saddened by his untimely death.
