Eight days after the passing of the Abese Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Olalekan Alabi, family members, associates and well-wishers will gather on Sunday, August 9, for a special Fidau prayer and reception in his honour.
The event, according to an official announcement by the family, will begin at 12 noon at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, with a reception immediately after the prayers.
Guests have been requested to appear in Sanyan on Gold as the approved dress code.
The programme comes days after the death of the respected Ibadan chief, whose passing drew an outpouring of tributes from traditional rulers, political leaders, professional colleagues and admirers across Oyo State and beyond.
