There was a mild drama on the floor of the Senate as the nomination of Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi as a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was confirmed on Thursday. After much deliberations and arguments amongst senators over petitions presented against the former Rivers State Governor, Senators elected on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, led by Senator Akpabio, staged a walkout to protest the confirmation.
