In the early hours of Sunday, October 26th, NDLEA operatives conducted a significant raid on Proxy Nightclub, located at 7 Akin Adesola Street in Victoria Island, following reports of a drug party taking place.
The operation resulted in the arrest of over 100 individuals, including the club owner, Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu, popularly known as Pretty Mike.
According to a statement from NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi on Sunday, the raid uncovered cartons filled with illicit substances, such as Loud and laughing gas, both of which were recovered from the suspects at the scene and from the club’s storage area.
The operation was executed after actionable intelligence was received regarding the drug-fueled event.
Undercover NDLEA operatives had infiltrated the party, which began at 11 PM on Saturday, October 25th.
Just before 3 AM on Sunday morning, they executed the operation according to their Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), successfully disrupting the gathering and taking numerous suspects into custody for further screening.
