Missing Ibadan Man Found in Nasarawa After Gunpoint Abduction, Wife Reveals

Fresh details have emerged on the ordeal of Ibadan man, Ajibola Abidemi Arije, whose disappearance on his way to work sparked widespread concern, prayers and public appeals for his safe return.

In an emotional appreciation message following his return home, Arije’s wife disclosed that her husband, who was allegedly abducted at gunpoint in Ibadan, was eventually found in Nasarawa State.

Her revelation provides the first major insight into the distance and circumstances surrounding the mysterious journey that had left his family and loved ones deeply worried.

According to Mrs. Arije, what should have been a 15-minute journey to work turned into days of uncertainty, after her husband was taken at gunpoint.

“On the 8th of August, I screamed out and you all listened to me and joined me,” she said, acknowledging the overwhelming response that followed her public appeal.

“That cry didn’t go in vain. That prayer and your post played a vital role in today’s excitement.”

Arije’s disappearance had earlier been reported by TrendscopeNews, with the development triggering concern among family members, friends, colleagues and members of the public who joined efforts to draw attention to the case.

His eventual discovery in Nasarawa has now added a striking dimension to the incident, showing how far the ordeal took him from the point where he was last seen.

Mrs. Arije particularly expressed gratitude to Nigerians who shared the story, prayed for her family and helped keep attention on the case.

She also reserved special praise for people in the fashion industry, friends, followers, friends of friends and family members who rallied around her during the difficult period.

Her appreciation extended to residents of Nasarawa and the Nigeria Police Force, whose efforts she credited in the course of the recovery.

“Thank you, good people of Nasarawa. Thank you Nigeria Police, police are indeed our friends,” she wrote.

While she did not disclose further details of what happened during the period her husband was missing, Mrs. Arije suggested that the family went through a traumatic experience.

“A lot went down but the most important thing was saved, Life!” she stated.

That remark underlined the family’s overwhelming relief that the ordeal ended without the loss of life, despite the frightening circumstances surrounding the alleged abduction.

She also offered prayers for everyone who supported the family, asking that they would never become victims of kidnappers.

The emotional message ended with a simple declaration that captured the family’s relief after days of anxiety:

“My husband is back home. The Arijes are grateful.”

Arije’s return has brought an end to one chapter of the disturbing incident, but the revelation that his journey ended hundreds of kilometres away in Nasarawa has left a fresh layer of questions about the circumstances surrounding his alleged abduction and movement from Ibadan.

For his family and everyone who followed the case, however, the immediate priority is clear: he is alive, he is home, and the Arijes have something to be grateful for.
