The All Progressives Congress (APC) is not joking with its efforts to return President Bola Tinubu in 2027 and also to take over the mantle of power from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State.
As part of strategic moves to achieve this, the party, as we have seen across the 36 states of Nigeria, has officially inaugurated its Renewed Hope Ambassadors coordinators in Oyo State.
This is a dedicated team tasked with mobilizing grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election bid, and to also make sure the party becomes victorious in the state in 2027.
The development has seen a diverse group of individuals being formally commissioned to champion the President's agenda across the state's 33 local government areas.
The initiative, spearheaded by prominent Oyo APC leaders, aims to effectively communicate the achievements and future plans of the Tinubu administration directly to the populace.
A top Oyo APC chieftain and the Renewed Hope Ambassador for Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Shina Alabi, in a recent interview with City People, emphasized the critical role these ambassadors will play in countering misinformation and ensuring that the "Renewed Hope" mantra resonates with every citizen.
While the Oyo State chapter of the Renewed Hope Agenda has former Senate Leader, Senator Teslim Folarin as the state ambassador, there are also Central, State, Local Government, and Ward coordinators across the state.
Hon. Afeez Bolaji Repete, APC's former Deputy National Youth Leader, is the Secretary, Central Coordinating Committee of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors for Oyo State.
The coordinators at local government level include Rt. Hon. Asimiyu Alarape (Atiba LG), Hon. Okunola Olafemi (Oyo East LG), Hon. Soji Ojoawo (Oyo West LG), Hon. Adeleye Abimbola (Afijio LG), Mrs. Felicia Opatunde (Akinyele LG), Hon. Oladeji Abiodun Peter (Lagelu LG), Hon. Ogundele Biliaminu (Egbeda), Apostle Kola Oyelade (Ona-Ara LG), Mrs. Abidemi Oyenuga (Ido LG), Hon. Sina Alabi (Ibadan North LG), Hon. Akande Abass (Ibadan South East LG), and Hon. Sunday Babalola (Ibadan South West LG).

The ambassadors, drawn from various professional backgrounds and community groups, underwent a brief orientation on effective communication strategies and the key policy thrusts of the current administration. They are expected to engage in door-to-door campaigns, community meetings, and digital advocacy to garner widespread support.
This also followed the ongoing harmonization and consolidation at all levels within the party.
Top echelons of the party, including Minister of Power Chief Adebayo Adelabu, former First Lady Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, Chief Fatai Ibikunle, Barr. Akeem Agbaye, and Senators Sharafadeen Alli, Abdulfatai Buhari, and Yunus Akintunde of Oyo South, Oyo North, and Oyo Central, among others, have all agreed to work for its success.
