As the 2027 presidential election draws closer, a robust house-to-house and local media campaign has commenced in the South West geo-political zone, championing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election bid.
The initiative, operating under the banner of the "Renewed Hope Agenda," is being coordinated by Mogaji Wole Arisekola, the publisher of Street Journal magazine and President of the Association of Online Media Practitioners of Nigeria (AMPON).
Arisekola and his team are focusing on disseminating information about the achievements of President Tinubu's administration over the past three years.
The campaign highlights the President's commitment to extensive economic reforms, major infrastructure projects, and significant security upgrades across the nation.
Key milestones frequently referenced include the administration's efforts in economic stabilization, which have seen the unification of multiple foreign exchange rates, the clearing of historical forex backlogs, and notable improvements in the stock market's valuation.
Furthermore, the campaign emphasizes the ambitious infrastructure drive, noting the initiation and advancement of over 2,700 km of major highway projects.
Among these are the high-profile Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway, projects poised to significantly enhance connectivity and economic activity across Nigeria.
Arisekola, the Mogaji of the Ajenigieye family of Ibadan, serves as the coordinator and is actively mobilizing support at the grassroots level.
