Adanla Palace, Chief Lateef Oyelade GRA, Ibadan, was a hub of spiritual reflection and joyous celebration over the weekend, as Engr. Abduljelyl Adekunle Karheem MCIArb, MCIOB, MCABE, CEO of Afia Group and Mogaji of the Adanla family of Ibadan, hosted a dual event in honour of his late mother, Princess Alhaja Haolat Apinke Karheem Adanla.
The occasion marked both the traditional Ileya festivities and the solemn 2nd remembrance prayer for the beloved matriarch.
The prayer session, a poignant highlight of the day, was reverently led by Adanla’s esteemed father-in-law, Sheikh Abdul-Ganiyy AbuBakr Agbotomokekere, the Chief Imam of Ibadanland.
Dignitaries from various spheres, including close family members, cherished friends, and prominent associates of the real estate magnate, graced the event with their presence, offering their support and prayers.
Adanla, who doubles as the Turaki Adini of Oyo State, Wakil Faido Tijaniyyah of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta states, and the Giwa Adini of Offa (Kwara State), extended heartfelt gratitude to all who attended the iconic event.
He particularly expressed special appreciation to Sheikh Agbotomokekere and other top Islamic leaders for their spiritual guidance and presence.
