Daughter Remembers Late Oba Buari Oloto at 82, Five Years After Death


The first daughter of the late Oba Buari Alade Abu Oloto, Oba Adejogu II, Princess Aderonke Buari Oloto, has remembered her father as he would have turned 82, five years after his death.

Princess Aderonke, in a post marking the occasion, celebrated the late monarch’s life, leadership, wisdom and enduring legacy.

Oba Buari Oloto, the first King of Iguru Land, Aguda, Surulere, Lagos, would have celebrated his 82nd birthday on Sunday, August 9, 2026.

His posthumous birthday coincides with the fifth anniversary of his passing, making the occasion a significant moment for his family and those who cherished his reign.

In her tribute, Princess Aderonke described her late father as “a true king”, noting that his remarkable life and legacy remain etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

She also prayed for the continued repose of the soul of the late monarch.
