Prince Isaac Fayose has congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke on his victory in the Osun State governorship election, urging him to use his renewed mandate to unite the people and focus on good governance.
Fayose, in a message to Adeleke and the people of Osun, described the governor-elect’s victory as well deserved while commending residents for turning out peacefully to exercise their democratic rights.
He also praised the people for standing firm and defending their right to choose their preferred leader, saying their conduct had strengthened democracy in the state.
“Politics is a game of numbers, and the people have made their decision,” Fayose said, urging all stakeholders to move beyond the election and concentrate on the development of Osun.
He listed education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure and the welfare of the people among areas that should receive priority as Adeleke prepares for another term in office.
Fayose also urged the governor-elect to provide inclusive leadership, praying that he would be granted the wisdom to unite Osun and the courage to take decisions capable of moving the state forward.
According to him, the election should mark the beginning of a new chapter for Osun, rather than deepen political divisions.
“Let us set aside bitterness and embrace unity. Politics should not be do or die. It should be about service to humanity,” he said.
Fayose expressed optimism that better days lie ahead for Osun, while calling on political actors and residents to work together for peace and progress.
