The Olowu of Kuta, Oba Dr. Hammed Adekunle Oyelude Makama, Tegbosun III, CON, has congratulated Governor Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke on his victory in the Osun State governorship election, urging him to make his renewed mandate a platform for inclusive and people-centred governance.
In a congratulatory statement issued from his palace, Oba Oyelude described Adeleke’s victory as a fresh vote of confidence from the people of Osun, while urging the governor to respond to the mandate with magnanimity and a strong commitment to uniting the state.
He called for a governance style that accommodates diverse interests and gives every section of Osun a sense of belonging, regardless of political affiliation.
Oba Oyelude also reminded Adeleke of the commitments contained in his victory speech, urging him to move swiftly from promises to action as he begins the next phase of his administration.
“Hit the ground running,” the monarch charged, urging the governor to consolidate ongoing development programmes and ensure that projects already initiated across the state receive sustained attention and are completed.
Olowu Kuta further called on Adeleke to intensify his people-oriented policies, particularly in rural communities which, according to him, require greater attention after significant development in urban centres during the governor’s first term.
He identified rural development as a key area for the second tenure, urging the administration to spread infrastructure and other developmental benefits more evenly across the state.
Security and the general welfare of residents, the monarch added, should remain high on the governor’s priority list, stressing that sustainable development could only thrive in an atmosphere of peace and safety.
Oba Oyelude expressed confidence that Adeleke’s renewed mandate offers an opportunity to consolidate the gains of his administration, address areas where more work is required and implement policies capable of delivering tangible benefits to the people.
The monarch urged the governor to see his victory not merely as a political triumph but as a greater responsibility to serve all residents of Osun.
