Celebrations are set to take over the family of popular Yoruba actress, Chief (Mrs.) Toyin Adegbola, popularly known as “Toyin Ashewo To Re Universe,” as her son, Tunji Adegbola, prepares to marry his fiancée, Oluwatosin Ogunniyi.
Tunji, a financial expert, is set to exchange marital vows with Tosin, a pharmacist, in what promises to be a colourful celebration involving two prominent families from Osun State.
The wedding ceremony, scheduled for Friday, November 4, and Saturday, November 5, 2016, is expected to attract family members, friends, colleagues and prominent personalities from the entertainment and social circles.
The couple’s traditional engagement is slated for Friday, November 4, at Yard 158, Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos.
A church service and wedding blessing will follow on Saturday, November 5, at the Methodist Church, Nigeria, Salvation Road, Opebi, Ikeja.
Guests will thereafter move to Yard 158 for the reception and entertainment programme.
The union brings together the Adegbola and Ogunniyi families, both of Osun State, with the Adegbola family being identified with the late Kolawole Anthony Adegbola.
Preparationsq Gather Momentum
With the actress’ strong connections within the Yoruba movie industry and the wider social circle, expectations are high that the wedding will be a glamorous affair.
Preparations for the ceremony were already in top gear as the families and organisers put finishing touches to the arrangements.
The Aso-Ebi for the celebration was divided into two categories, A and B, for both men and women.
For women, Package A was priced at N40,000, while Package B went for N20,000. For men, Package A cost N50,000, with Package B priced at N25,000.
With the prominence of both families and the social connections of the bride and groom’s families, the November 2016 celebration was expected to be one of the notable society events of the period.
