ABOUT TRENDSCOPENEWS
TrendscopeNews is an independent Nigerian digital news publication dedicated to delivering timely, accurate, fair and engaging journalism to readers in Nigeria and around the world.
Founded to provide a credible platform for news, information and public-interest journalism, TrendscopeNews covers politics, society, security, business, education, health, entertainment, sports, culture, lifestyle and other issues that shape everyday life.
Our newsroom publishes breaking news, original reports, interviews, features, analysis, human-interest stories and opinion pieces. We also report on significant developments at the local, state, national and international levels.
Our Journalism
TrendscopeNews is committed to responsible journalism.
We make reasonable efforts to verify information before publication and, where appropriate, rely on official statements, public records, documents, interviews, eyewitness accounts and other credible and verifiable sources.
When a story is based on information supplied by an organisation, public official, news agency or another publication, we seek to identify and attribute the source appropriately.
Our objective is not simply to reproduce information already available elsewhere, but to present important developments clearly, provide relevant context and help readers understand why a story matters.
Accuracy and Corrections
Accuracy is central to our editorial work.
Where we discover a factual error, we will make an appropriate correction or update to the affected report. Significant corrections may be clearly identified where necessary.
Readers who notice a factual error are encouraged to contact the newsroom so that the matter can be reviewed.
News, Analysis and Opinion
TrendscopeNews distinguishes between factual news reports, analysis and opinion.
News reports are intended to present verified information as accurately and fairly as possible.
Analysis pieces provide additional context and interpretation of events.
Opinion articles represent the views of their respective authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of TrendscopeNews.
Editorial Independence
TrendscopeNews maintains editorial independence and seeks to ensure that commercial interests, advertising relationships, political interests or other external considerations do not determine the editorial position of its news reports.
Editorial decisions are based on newsworthiness, public interest, relevance and journalistic considerations.
Our Publisher
Dare Adeniran is the Publisher of TrendscopeNews and a journalist and media consultant with experience in Nigerian media and digital publishing.
Under his direction, TrendscopeNews continues to develop as an independent digital publication focused on credible journalism, public-interest reporting and engaging storytelling.
