The wife of Senator Ridwan Adesoji Akanbi, who represented Oyo South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Chief (Mrs.) Folake Akanbi, has shared the success story of Libragold, a travel and tours company, as it marked its 21st anniversary.
Speaking at an anniversary event held on Sunday, October 28, 2018, Folake attributed the company’s growth over the years to professionalism, consistency and a commitment to excellent service delivery.
She said the core values of sincerity, professionalism, integrity, consistency and excellence had remained central to Libragold’s operations and contributed to the strength of the brand.
According to her, the company owed its progress to the commitment of its staff, members of her team and customers who had continued to support and trust its services.
“The core values on which the organisation operates are sincerity, professionalism, integrity, consistency and excellence in service delivery. These have contributed to what makes the brand, Libragold,” she said.
Folake expressed appreciation to the company’s customers and team members for their contributions to its development, adding that the journey would continue beyond the 21st anniversary.
The anniversary reception, held at Mauve 21 Event Centre near Adeoyo Junction in Ibadan, also featured customer recognition and the presentation of Hajj certificates to pilgrims who participated in the 2017/2018 Hajj.
About 13 customers received loyalty awards in recognition of their patronage and contributions to the growth of the company.
Among those recognised were Alhaji Umar Yahya of Associated Haulages, Mr. Saheed Alao of Blueprint Business Technologies and the late Alhaji Abdulazeez Arisekola Alao, alongside other customers and associates.
Guest speaker at the event, Dr. Mudashir Atanda Bada, a scholar, urged Muslims and members of the audience to embrace patience, consistency, dedication and hard work while maintaining a strong relationship with God.
Dr. Bada also spoke about the qualities he said were associated with the Chief Executive Officer of Libragold Group, Mrs. Zhikrah Afolake Akanbi, noting that these values had contributed to the company’s development over the years.
The anniversary provided an opportunity for the company, its customers, staff and associates to celebrate its 21 years of operation and reflect on the journey ahead.
