The Chief Executive Officer of Adanla Concept, Alhaji (Prince) Yahya Hamed Adanla, has concluded plans for a special remembrance prayer to honour the enduring legacy of his late parents, whose lives continue to inspire generations of the Adanla family.
Scheduled for Thursday, July 23, 2026, the solemn gathering will take place at Mapo Hall, Ibadan, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Family members, Islamic clerics, traditional rulers, dignitaries and friends from across the country are expected to attend the spiritually significant event.
Forty years have passed since the death of Eleha Rahmotallah Arike Hamed Idowu-Adanla, who departed on July 20, 1986, while Alhaji Abdul-Hammed Olasupo Ajani Idowu-Adanla, fondly remembered as Ajani Olowo Ise-Iaaba, passed away on July 23, 2002, making this year’s programme his 24th remembrance.
Adding scholarly depth to the occasion, Prof. Sarafadeen O. Kareem of the Department of Microbiology, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, will deliver a lecture, with emphasis expected on the Islamic virtues of honouring parents, preserving family values and praying for departed loved ones.
Hosting the remembrance is Alhaji (Chief) Oladimeji Abdullahi Hammed, while Engr. AbdulJelyl Adekunle Karheem MCIArb, MCIOB, MCABE, will serve as Chief Host.
