Annie Quashes Reunion Rumours With 2Baba

Nollywood actress Annie Idibia has broken her silence over widespread speculation suggesting she has rekindled her relationship with her former husband, music icon, Innocent Ujah Idibia, aka 2Baba, describing the claims as false.

Speculation gathered momentum across social media over the weekend after an old video showing the former couple enjoying themselves together at a nightclub resurfaced online.

The clip quickly fueled claims that the estranged pair had reconciled, with some posts even alleging that Annie was expecting a third child with the singer.

Responding to the growing rumours on Monday through her Instagram Stories, Annie dismissed the reports, clarifying that the videos making the rounds were not recent.

“Old videos circulating everywhere, false news everywhere,” she wrote, putting to rest the wave of online speculation.

Social media platforms had been awash with discussions since Friday, July 17, when the resurfaced clip reignited hopes among some fans that the former celebrity couple had reunited after their highly publicised separation.

Annie and 2Baba, one of Nigeria’s most celebrated entertainment couples for over a decade, officially ended their marriage in January 2025.

Their split attracted widespread public attention, marking the end of a relationship that produced two daughters.

Since the separation, 2Baba has openly moved on with politician Natasha Osawaru, while Annie has largely maintained a low profile regarding her personal life.

Her latest reaction appears aimed at drawing a clear line under the speculation, signalling that reports of a reconciliation and pregnancy are unfounded despite the renewed buzz generated by recycled social media content.
