Dr. Akin Fagbemi, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for the 2027 House of Representatives election in Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency, is set to commence a ward-to-ward thank-you tour to appreciate party leaders, executives, members and supporters for their unwavering loyalty and commitment.
Coming on the heels of heightened political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections, the appreciation tour is expected to take Fagbemi across all the wards in the two local government areas that make up the federal constituency.
In Ibadan North-West Local Government, the tour will cover Wards 1 to 11 on Monday, July 20, 2026, with the take-off point at the Ibadan North-West Local Government Secretariat, Onireke, Dugbe.
Organisers said the exercise is aimed at expressing gratitude to party faithful for their steadfast support while also reinforcing the unity and cohesion of the APM ahead of the next election cycle.
Fagbemi is also billed to visit all 12 wards in Ibadan South-West Local Government, where he will meet party leaders, executives, supporters and residents at designated locations across the constituency.
Among the scheduled venues are Olupoyi Hall, Aladorin Primary School, Ita Aregbe-Omo, Ile Alawo, Seventh Day Nursery and Primary School, Asaka, Foko Palace, Agbokojo Junction, St. James, Oke Bola, UMC Primary School, Molete, Baptist Primary School, Aresa, Elewura Community Grammar School and BCJ Primary School.
Describing the exercise as “a time to appreciate, a time to connect and a time to move forward together,” organisers said the tour is intended to strengthen the party’s grassroots structure while fostering closer interaction with members across the constituency.
