Alli Takes Governorship Ambition To Omo Ajorosun Club, Unveils Vision For New Oyo

Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, PhD, has taken his 2027 Oyo governorship ambition to the prestigious Omo Ajorosun Club of Ibadan, formally informing members of his intention to contest on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Alli, who is a member and former President of the influential club, made the declaration during its monthly meeting on Monday, where he presented his vision for transforming Oyo State into a more prosperous, developed and inclusive society.

Speaking to fellow members, the senator outlined his transformation agenda, highlighting his aspiration to provide purposeful leadership and create an enabling environment for economic growth, development and greater opportunities for residents across the state.

His appearance at the gathering provided an opportunity to formally communicate his governorship ambition to members of the club, many of whom have followed his political career and public service journey over the years.

Alli was warmly received by the club members, who expressed support, encouragement and prayers for his political aspiration as he prepares for what is expected to be a keenly contested APC governorship primary ahead of the 2027 election.

The declaration also marked another significant step in Alli’s emerging campaign, coming as political activities intensify within the Oyo APC ahead of the next governorship contest.

Accompanying the senator were his running mate, Hon. Micheal Adesoji Adedeji; Campaign Director-General, Hon. Aderibigbe; members of his campaign committee and other APC stakeholders.

With the declaration now formally made before members of one of Ibadan’s prominent social and leadership platforms, Alli’s campaign is expected to intensify its engagement with political stakeholders, community leaders and other critical groups across the state.

A former President of Omo Ajorosun Club and serving senator, Alli is positioning his experience in public service and political administration as part of the foundation for his bid to lead Oyo State from 2027.
