Chief (Mrs.) Tawa Sharafadeen-Alli, wife of the Oyo State APC governorship candidate, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, has joined other prominent women leaders and stakeholders at the national mobilisation drive for the 2027 presidential campaign of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Tawa Alli, who was among the dignitaries at the Women Stakeholders’ Mobilisation and Empowerment Pre-Inaugural Summit in Abuja, was part of the gathering convened by First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, ahead of the formal rollout of the APC Presidential Campaign Council’s women mobilisation activities.
Held on Monday, October 5, 2026, at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja, the summit was organised by the Women Mobilisation Directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Council under the theme, “Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0: From Reforms to Prosperity.”
Tawa Alli, wife of Senator Sarafadeen Alli, attended the high-profile gathering alongside women stakeholders drawn from across Nigeria as the ruling party begins to build its campaign structures ahead of the 2027 elections.
Her presence placed Oyo State prominently within the national conversation on women’s participation and grassroots mobilisation, particularly as APC structures prepare to take the campaign message to communities across the country.
Addressing the gathering, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu called on Nigerian women to unite under the APC structure and support the party’s candidates in the 2027 elections. She also announced plans for zonal mega rallies as part of efforts to deepen women’s mobilisation nationwide.
Vice President Kashim Shettima’s wife, Hajia Nana Shettima, similarly urged women from the six geopolitical zones to return to their respective communities and mobilise support ahead of the elections, highlighting programmes of the Renewed Hope Initiative targeted at women, students, elderly people and persons with disabilities.
Organisers described the summit as a major step towards strengthening a coordinated women-led campaign structure for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket, with the mobilisation directorate previously announcing an ambitious target of women’s votes for the 2027 presidential election.
For Tawa Alli, whose political activities have increasingly placed her in direct contact with women, traders and community stakeholders in Oyo State, the Abuja gathering offered another platform to connect local mobilisation with the emerging national campaign structure.
The summit brought together APC women leaders, political stakeholders, professionals, entrepreneurs, community representatives and grassroots organisers from across the federation, underscoring the growing role being assigned to women in the party’s 2027 campaign preparations. (Punch Newspapers)
With the message “One Voice, One Movement, One Choice, One Mandate 2027,” the event effectively set the tone for the APC’s women-focused mobilisation as the party moves towards the next phase of its presidential campaign activities.
