Chief (Mrs.) Tawa Sharafadeen Alli, Aare Egbe Omo Iyalode of Ibadanland, on Saturday, October 3, 2026, continued her grassroots engagement across Ibadan, attending two separate community gatherings as part of efforts to deepen support for her husband, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, ahead of the 2027 Oyo State governorship election.
Tawa Alli, wife of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, moved from Moniya to Agodi Gate in Ibadan, using the occasions to connect with community stakeholders, elders and members of different social groups while promoting the vision of a greater and more prosperous Oyo State.
Her Saturday engagements came barely two days after she returned to Agbaje Market, where she appealed to traders to support Senator Alli’s governorship ambition and outlined areas including affordable loans, improved security, infrastructure and small-business support as part of the development agenda being canvassed for the state.
At Moniya, Tawa Alli attended the 3rd Annual General Meeting and Presentation of Certificates of Sagbe Moniya Oluwatedo III (IB) Ifesowapo Olorire CICS Ltd, held at the Amuludun FM Second Field, Aladanla, Bank Bus Stop.
The gathering brought together members of the cooperative, community stakeholders and other invited guests, with Alhaji Chief (Prof.) Abdul Moruf Adekunle Ishola, Ijoba I (A.K.A. Aare), union president, serving as chief host, while Alhaji Chief Abdul Rasaki Ajisope was the chief lecturer of the day.
The event provided another opportunity for the APC governorship candidate’s wife to interact with people at the grassroots and reinforce the message that meaningful development must begin with communities and the people who drive them.
Rather than limiting her engagements to conventional political meetings, Tawa has increasingly taken her message to markets, educational communities, social organisations and other grassroots platforms, projecting her husband’s candidacy through conversations around development and welfare.
From Moniya, she proceeded to Admiralty Tavern, Oyo State RANAO Office, beside the Deputy Governor’s House, Agodi Gate, Ibadan, where she joined members of the Greyhair Wisdom Concept for its Elders Hangout 3rd Year Anniversary 2026.
The anniversary, themed “Honour the Legacy”, was designed to celebrate older men and women whose experience, wisdom and contributions continue to shape society.
It was also a gathering built around testimonies, thanksgiving, appreciation, reminiscences and the sharing of memorable experiences, making Tawa Alli’s presence particularly significant in a political environment where the knowledge and influence of senior citizens remain important.
Her entourage to the two events included Chief (Mrs.) Bolupe Aminat Aramide, the Aareago Iyalode of Ibadanland, alongside other associates.

At both engagements, Tawa Alli’s presence added a political dimension to otherwise community-centred occasions, as she continued to present the broader philosophy behind Senator Alli’s aspiration to lead Oyo State in 2027.
Her message has consistently centred on a state where government should translate into tangible opportunities for ordinary people, particularly through education, empowerment, security, business support, infrastructure and human-capital development.
The approach also reflects the public role she has increasingly assumed in her husband’s campaign, where she has emerged as a prominent grassroots voice connecting the governorship ambition with women, traders, community leaders, professionals and traditional stakeholders.
At the recent IDU-USA convention in the United States, where she received an award on behalf of Senator Alli, Tawa similarly linked political leadership with service, community development and responsibility to future generations.
Her grassroots engagements have also extended to education, with the Tawa Alli Support Group supporting free holiday coaching, skills acquisition, meals and educational materials for pupils and students in Ibadan.
Saturday’s double engagement therefore represented more than a busy social itinerary for the APC candidate’s wife.
It further positioned Tawa Alli as one of the visible grassroots ambassadors of Senator Alli’s 2027 project, taking the message of his candidacy beyond political gatherings and into communities where everyday concerns, experience and expectations are directly expressed.
With the 2027 governorship contest gradually gathering momentum, her continued interaction with different segments of Oyo society is expected to remain an important part of the campaign’s grassroots strategy.
For Tawa Alli, the message appears straightforward: a greater Oyo State must be built with the people, respect for experience, investment in human capital and a development vision that reaches beyond political centres into every community.
