Tawa Alli Takes Healthcare Outreach To Ibadan North-West, Says Every Life Matters

Chief (Mrs.) Tawa Sharafadeen Alli has taken her community-focused intervention to residents of Ibadan North-West Local Government Area of Oyo State through a medical outreach aimed at bringing healthcare services closer to the people.

Tawa Alli, who disclosed this in a statement on the initiative, said the outreach was driven by her belief that access to quality healthcare should not be reserved for a privileged few, stressing that every individual deserves the opportunity to live a healthy and fulfilling life.

According to her, the intervention aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 3, which promotes good health and well-being for people of all ages.

She described the outreach as more than a one-off programme, saying it represents a personal commitment to improving the well-being of people within communities.

“For me, this is more than a programme. It is a commitment,” she said, while emphasising that her passion for healthy living cuts across age, background and social status.

Tawa Alli said she has remained committed over the years to initiatives that put people first, particularly those designed to take care, attention and hope closer to communities.
Her latest intervention was carried out in collaboration with Eleta Eye Institute and Eleta Academy, Ibadan, whose partnership she described as a demonstration of what can be achieved when individuals and organisations work together around a shared purpose.

She expressed appreciation to the institutions for supporting the outreach, noting that collaborative efforts could make a meaningful difference in improving access to healthcare at the community level.

Beyond the medical services provided, Tawa Alli said the outreach was also intended to communicate a deeper message of compassion, dignity and inclusion to residents.

“Yesterday was about healthcare, but beyond the medical services, it was about compassion, dignity and reminding our people that they matter,” she said.

The initiative comes amid Tawa Alli’s recent grassroots engagements across Ibadan, where she has combined community interaction with advocacy around issues affecting residents.

Her recent activities have included engagements with market women, community leaders and other stakeholders across the city.

For Tawa Alli, however, the healthcare intervention goes beyond political or social engagement, with her message centred on the need for healthier communities and stronger families.

She pledged to continue supporting initiatives that directly touch the lives of residents, one community at a time, as she summed up the philosophy behind the outreach: “Healthy people. Stronger families. A better Oyo State.”
