Operatives of the Makurdi Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 15 suspected internet fraudsters in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
The suspects were arrested in Amax Apartment, Guzape, following credible intelligence that linked them to fraudulent internet activities.
According to a release obtained on the anti-graft agency's Facebook page, Items recovered from the suspects include a Toyota Highlander with customized registration number (BORNO AAA) and phones.
The release further confirmed that the suspected internet fraudsters, better known as 'Yahoo Boys', have made useful statements and would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
