The death has been announced of Madam Omotayo Ibironke Oladoye, the mother of Remi Oladoye, Publisher, National Insight News.
Madam Oladoye, a retired teacher, was said to have passed away on Monday at the Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso.
A family statement confirmed that she died after a brief illness at the age of 77.
The statement reads: "With heartfelt gratitude to Almighty God for a life well spent, we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Madam Omotayo Ibironke Oladoye (née Adegunju), who slept in the Lord on June 24, 2025, after a brief illness.
"Mama Oladoye passed on at the Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso.
"She was a dedicated and passionate teacher who served in various primary schools within Ogbomoso and retired in 2013 after 35 years of meritorious service in the education sector.
"Born on July 3, 1948, in Orile Owu, Osun State, she was united in holy matrimony with Pa Sunday Oladimeji Oladoye, and their union is blessed with wonderful children and grandchildren.
"A devout Christian and committed servant of God, Mama Oladoye lived a life of faith and service to humanity, contributing actively in various capacities within the church.
"Burial arrangements will be announced in due course."
