Popular Juju Star Ahuja Bello Dies At 83


Veteran Juju music legend Alhaji Ismaila Ayandele Bello, popularly known as Ahuja Bello, has passed away.

A statement from his son, Adetunji Bello, confirmed that the music icon died early this morning (Monday, August 25).

He passed away a day after his 83rd birthday, as further confirmed in the statement.

His remains will be buried according to Islamic rites later today.

Ahuja Bello was a highly talented musician, guitarist, and vocalist. He began his career as an electronic electrician, but his passion for music led him to pursue it professionally.

In 1976, he formed his own band, Ahuja Bello and His Golden Eagles Band.

His musical journey included collaborations with notable groups such as I.A. Elegbede and Expensive Olubi and His Golden Stars.

He was known for his energetic performances and hit albums, including "Awa ti Danfo" and "Ariya ti de."
