Joy, Excitement As Bisoye Fagade Recommissions NIHOTOUR Lagos Office


It was a day of joy and excitement as the Director-General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR), Aare Bisoye Fagade, unveiled the newly upgraded and renovated Lagos office of the Institute in a colourful ceremony attended by top dignitaries and traditional rulers.

The commissioning, which drew crème de la crème from the hospitality industry, had traditional rulers as special guests of honour, underscoring the cultural significance of the occasion. The event was marked by prayers, goodwill messages and commendations for Fagade’s leadership vision in repositioning NIHOTOUR as a world-class training and research hub for tourism and hospitality in Nigeria.

Speaking at the ceremony, Fagade expressed gratitude to stakeholders for their support, noting that the Lagos office renovation was part of his administration’s broader agenda to provide a conducive learning and administrative environment across NIHOTOUR’s zonal offices nationwide.

Fagde also commended President BolaTinubu for his ongoing efforts to make resources available, despite economic constraints.




Traditional rulers present, Oba of Odi-Olowo, HRM Oba Olamide Ayinde, and the Aro Elegushi of Ikate-Kingdom , Chief Ganiyu Bakare hailed the project as timely, pledging their continued support to the Institute’s mission of harnessing Nigeria’s vast tourism potential.

The event was rounded off with a tour of the upgraded facility, practicals and a networking session for stakeholders in the hospitality and tourism sector.

With this milestone, Bisoye Fagade once again affirmed his reputation as a visionary leader dedicated to innovation, capacity-building and infrastructural transformation in Nigeria’s tourism landscape.
