"I Come To Equity With Clean Hands", Oke Fires Back At Olajengbesi Amidst Corruption Claims

The political temperature in Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency continues to rise as Honourable Oluwole Oke, the sitting member of House of Representatives, has vehemently responded to accusations of corruption and abuse of office leveled against him by human right lawyer Barr. Pelumi Olajengbesi.

In a terse but potent statement shared on his Facebook page, Hon. Oke declared, "I come to equity with clean hands," challenging his accuser to follow due process.

Oke, visibly unyielding, stated, "If you have any issue with my records as a parliamentarian, you know the proper course of action.

Addressing the specifics of his constituency projects, Hon. Oke directed critics to "ask the procuring agencies for the status of any of my constituency projects."

He asserted unequivocally, "All projects paid for have been executed." Furthermore, he clarified a common misconception, stating, "Inclusion of a project in a budget does not translate to release of funds for execution."

Oke concluded his statement by urging anyone with concrete evidence of unexecuted, paid-for projects to "take the matter to the appropriate authorities," specifically mentioning the ICPC or EFCC.
