Barrister Kayode Oduoye, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Odo-Otin/Boripe/Ifelodun Federal Constituency of Osun State in the 2015 House of Representatives election, has been honoured with the Young Politician of the Year Award, 2015, by Global Excellence Magazine.
Oduoye, popularly known as “Super Kay,” received the award at a ceremony held on Sunday, March 15, 2015, at the Balmoral Event Centre, 98 Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos.
The award recognised his activities in politics and his contribution to the development of his constituency and Osun State.
Oduoye attended the ceremony with prominent PDP leaders from Ikirun and members of his support group, who joined him in celebrating the recognition.
The honour was also described by his supporters as one of several recognitions he had received in 2015, reflecting his growing profile within Osun State politics.
Oduoye is one of the younger politicians attracting attention in the state, particularly within the PDP structure in his federal constituency.
His growing grassroots support and political network had also become significant features of his campaign ahead of the 2015 House of Representatives election.
The recognition by Global Excellence Magazine therefore added another dimension to his public profile as he continued his campaign for the Odo-Otin/Boripe/Ifelodun Federal Constituency seat.
