The family of the Deputy Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Akintunde Adegboye, was thrown into mourning following the death of his wife, Alhaja Monsurat Abimbola Adegboye.
Alhaja Monsurat, according to information available at the time, died on Friday evening, June 5, 2015. She was 47 years old.
Her death came as a shock to family members, friends and associates of the lawmaker, who was serving as Deputy Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly at the time.
The deceased was subsequently buried on Saturday morning, June 6, 2015, according to Islamic rites.
Her funeral prayers and burial were held at Ansarudeen Mosque in the Sabo area of Osogbo, Osun State.
Alhaja Monsurat’s death was expected to be followed by condolences from political associates, friends and well-wishers of the Adegboye family.
