Popular Ibadan-based broadcaster, Yemi Sonde, has lost his mother, Mrs. Sonde.
The veteran broadcaster’s mother passed away this morning after a brief illness, according to information made available by the family.
Announcing her death in a message to friends, Sonde said his mother had passed on peacefully and that the burial arrangements would be carried out according to her wishes.
In the message, he wrote: “I wish to inform you that my mother passed on to glory this morning. In line with her instruction before she passed on, burial will take place this afternoon at my house, Akobo, Ibadan. You are cordially invited to join me in bidding my loving mother ‘good night’. Thanks.”
The burial is scheduled to take place later in the day at Sonde’s residence in the Akobo area of Ibadan.
