Senate President, Bukola Saraki, on Tuesday presented to President Muhammadu Buhari the list of ministerial nominees who had been confirmed by the Senate.
The presentation followed the conclusion of the Senate’s screening and confirmation of the nominees sent to the chamber by President Buhari.
The first batch of confirmed nominees included former Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi; Chief Audu Ogbeh; Chief Ogbonnaya Onu; Senator Udoma Udo Udoma; Osagie Ehanire; Engr. Suleiman Adamu; Hadi Sirika; Kemi Adeosun; Barrister Solomon Dalung; Dr. Aisha Alhassan; Dr. Chris Ngige; Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau; Alhaji Lai Mohammed; Adamu Adamu; Ibrahim Usman Jibril; Babatunde Fashola; Dr. Ibe Kachikwu and Abubakar Malami.
The Senate had earlier confirmed a second batch of nominees on October 29, 2015.
Those in the second batch included Barrister Adebayo Shittu; Prof. Isaac Adewole; Adijat Abba Ibrahim; Heineken Lokpobiri; Prof. Claudius Omoleye Daramola; Shehuri Mustapha; Ocholi James; Bawa Bwari; Geoffrey Onyeama; Hajia Zainab Ahmed and Mansur Mohammed Dan-Ali.
Other nominees who had also received Senate confirmation included Pastor Usani Usani Uguru; Dr. Okechukwu Enelamah; Prof. Anthony Anwuka; Mohammed Musa Bello; Aisha Abubakar and Rotimi Amaechi.
With the confirmation process completed for the listed nominees, attention had shifted to the next stage of the formation of President Buhari’s cabinet.
