It was a gathering of top celebrities from different walks of life, entertainment personalities and prominent OAPs (On-Air Personalities) on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, as Ibadan’s leading baker and boss of Exquisito Confectioneries Ltd, Deola Layade, officially opened her newly upgraded office for business.
The colourful event, which took place at the company’s office on Awolowo Avenue, Old Bodija, Ibadan, provided an avenue for the entrepreneur to showcase the new innovations and products she was bringing on board.
On display were some of the company’s latest offerings, including puff-balls, cookies, different varieties of bread, ready-made cakes, desserts, delish doughnuts, cupcakes and several other confectionery products.
According to Deola, the major idea behind the upgrade was to take advantage of the opportunities provided by technology and expand the company’s services beyond conventional confectionery.
“We are upgrading our website in such a way that you will be able to even buy customised branded Exquisito stuff, like phone cases, chef jackets, gifts and others, and you can also pay online,” she said.
She added that Exquisito had evolved into a full-fledged confectionery outfit and bakery, with a dedicated section for health-conscious customers.
“We are now a full-blown confectionery outfit cum bakery. We have the Fitfam section for health-conscious people, with products such as salads, fruit cups, hibiscus juice, carrot cake, sandwiches and loads of other products,” Deola explained.
One of the most interesting aspects of the upgraded facility is that customers can enjoy the products right inside the premises, which offers a comfortable and conducive environment for relaxation and dining.
With more than a decade of quality service delivery to her numerous clients, Deola Layade has continued to establish herself as a game-changer in the confectionery and baking industry.
She is also credited with introducing cake exhibitions to Ibadan, further demonstrating her innovative approach to the business and her commitment to developing the city’s confectionery culture.
