Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Biodun Fatoyinbo, has mourned the death of his father, describing him as an important influence on his life and upbringing.
Fatoyinbo announced his father’s death in a social media post in which he reflected on the values and lessons he said he learnt from him.
Paying tribute to his late father, the pastor said he was grateful for the opportunity to have been raised by him and credited him with teaching him important values, including humility, love, leadership and kindness.
He also recalled the guidance he received from his father on dealing with people and communicating thoughtfully, saying those lessons had influenced the way he related with others, including his own children.
Fatoyinbo expressed particular gratitude for the time he spent with his father discussing his Christian faith and praying together.
Although he said he was already missing his father, the COZA pastor said he found comfort in his belief that his father was now with Jesus Christ.
He concluded the tribute by expressing his love for his late father and reflecting on the privilege of being able to care for him during his lifetime.
