Hon. Engr. Aderemi Oseni, the member representing Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District in the 2027 general election, on Tuesday held a high-level private meeting with prominent political figures in Abuja, stressing the need for unity, constructive engagement and collective commitment to the development of Oyo State.
The meeting brought together the former Deputy Governor of Oyo State and National Deputy Chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Taofeek Oladejo Arapaja, the APC governorship candidate in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, and his running mate, Hon. Soji Michael Adedeji.
According to Oseni, the closed-door discussion was conducted in a cordial atmosphere and focused on issues of peace, unity, good governance and the sustainable development of Oyo State, irrespective of political affiliations.
Describing the engagement as productive, the federal lawmaker noted that meaningful dialogue among leaders remains essential to building a prosperous future for the state and its people.
“Our conversation was frank, cordial and centred on what truly matters—the peace, unity, good governance and sustainable development of Oyo State,” Oseni said.
He maintained that the overall progress and wellbeing of Oyo State should always take precedence over partisan interests, adding that leaders must continue to explore ideas and partnerships capable of advancing the common good.
Oseni further called on stakeholders across political divides to embrace dialogue and cooperation, expressing confidence that sustained collaboration would strengthen governance, promote stability and accelerate development across the state.
