Princess Yeye Abiye Osunbunmi Abike Ifasemilore, Yeye Alaragbo Oodua, is set to receive a special honour at the forthcoming 50th remembrance of the late patriarch of the Labosinde Ruling House, Folashade Labosinde.
The recognition will be conferred during the Ancestors’ Day (Folashade Labosinde 50 Years Remembrance and Award Day), scheduled to hold on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Mapo Hall, Ibadan.
According to an official award letter issued by the Labosinde Ruling House Headquarters and signed by its General Secretary, Arisekola Labonside, Yeye Osunbunmi was selected in recognition of her remarkable contributions to the Yoruba race and her impact on the development of Ibadan.
The organisers stated that her outstanding service, influence and commitment to the preservation of Yoruba values made her deserving of the recognition.

Beyond the honour, Yeye Osunbunmi, who is also the Olori Iya Abiye Agbalaye, has been invited to the event as a special guest, underscoring the high regard in which she is held by the Labosinde Ruling House.
The 50th remembrance ceremony is expected to bring together traditional rulers, cultural enthusiasts, community leaders, dignitaries and members of the public to celebrate the enduring legacy of the late Folashade Labosinde while honouring distinguished personalities whose lives and achievements reflect the values for which the patriarch stood.
His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, is the royal host for the day, while Chief Babatunde Labosinde will serve as the Chief Host.
