Mogaji Akin Fagbemi, candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for the Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency, has intensified his grassroots campaign ahead of the 2027 general election, taking his campaign train to Ibadan South-West Local Government Area.

Fagbemi used the engagement to appreciate party leaders, stakeholders and members for their loyalty and sustained commitment to the APM, while pledging to build a stronger relationship between the party and communities across the constituency.

As part of his support for the party’s grassroots mobilisation, the APM candidate donated N2 million to the party in Ibadan South-West Local Government to strengthen its structures and support its activities ahead of the 2027 polls.

Addressing party faithful, Fagbemi said the gesture was not only a contribution to the party’s activities but also an expression of his appreciation for the sacrifices and commitment of members working at the grassroots.

He assured the gathering that, if elected, his representation would be driven by effective service, grassroots development and an inclusive political agenda that would give constituents a stronger voice.

Fagbemi also stressed the importance of unity within the party, noting that the collective strength of leaders, stakeholders and members would be crucial to the APM’s performance in the 2027 election.

He was accompanied on the campaign visit by prominent party figures, including APM Vice Chairman, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke; former representative of the Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency, Hon. Saheed Fijabi; Ibadan North-West Local Government Council Chairman, Alhaji Rahmon Adepoju; and Ibadan South-West Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Kehinde Akande.

Others included Okebadan LCDA Chairman and APM chairmanship candidate for Ibadan North-West, Hon. Ganiyu Omotosho; Hon. Bolanle Oladeji; Hon. Hassan Bello; as well as other party leaders and stakeholders.

Beyond the financial donation, the visit provided an opportunity for Fagbemi to engage directly with party members, hear their concerns and strengthen the political network expected to drive the APM’s campaign at the grassroots.

He reiterated his determination to work closely with party leaders and members across the constituency, emphasising that unity, accessibility and genuine grassroots engagement would remain central to his political agenda.

With the 2027 general election gradually drawing closer, Fagbemi’s latest engagement signals an effort to deepen the APM’s presence across the constituency while positioning his campaign around direct contact with party members and community-level mobilisation.
