The respected Islamic leader, who is 92 years old, visited the palace on Sunday, October 18, 2026, accompanied by his children, led by Dr. Atere, Chairman of the Oyo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, ahead of the naming ceremony scheduled for Tuesday, October 20.

Mogaji Adanla, who holds the traditional and Islamic titles of Turaki Adini of Oyo State, Wakil Faido Tijaniyyah of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, and Giwa Adini of Offa, Kwara State, shared the heartwarming development, expressing delight at the visit and the happiness it brought to the family.

According to him, his father-in-law was particularly pleased with the condition of his daughter, Alhaja Mahmudah Ayoka Karheem Adanla, and her newborn baby boy, fondly referred to as Baba Boladale.
The visit provided an opportunity for the elderly Islamic leader to share in the family’s happiness, offer his presence and celebrate the safe arrival of the baby ahead of the forthcoming naming ceremony.

Expressing his own joy, Mogaji Adanla said he was equally delighted that his 92-year-old father-in-law could witness and share in the blessing of welcoming a new generation into the family through one of his youngest daughters.

The visit underscored the importance of family bonds, intergenerational relationships and the joy that accompanies the arrival of a newborn, particularly when such a moment brings together loved ones across generations.
With the naming ceremony scheduled for Tuesday, the family is looking forward to another memorable occasion of thanksgiving, prayers and celebration as relatives and well-wishers prepare to welcome the newest member of the family.
