Mogaji Wole Arisekola, the publisher of Street Journal, President of the Association of Online Media Practitioners of Nigeria (AMPON), and Mogaji Ajenigieye of Oje, Ibadan, has publicly declared his support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Farouk Arisekola Alao.
Arisekola made his position known ahead of the 2027 general election, calling on residents of the constituency to rally behind the APC standard-bearer.
In a heartfelt message addressed to the people of Ibadan North, Arisekola appealed to voters to unite behind Farouk, describing the election as an opportunity to honour the enduring legacy of his late father, the late Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Alhaji AbdulAzeez Arisekola Alao, whose philanthropy, leadership and commitment to the development of Oyo State touched countless lives.
Arisekola urged residents of the constituency to remember the late business icon’s immense contributions to society and to reciprocate those years of selfless service by supporting his son at the polls.
According to him, voting for Farouk would not only ensure continuity of a family legacy rooted in service to humanity but would also serve as a lasting tribute to a man who devoted his life to the welfare and progress of the people of Oyo State.
The veteran media entrepreneur also reminded the electorate of his previous appeal during the last by-election, when he urged them to support the candidate backed by Governor Seyi Makinde.
