The All Progressives Congress in Oyo State has formally presented its governorship standard-bearer for the 2027 election, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, alongside his running mate, Hon. Adesoji Michael Adedeji, in a ceremony that reflected the party’s resolve to consolidate its structures and prepare ahead of the 2027 elections.
The event, held in Ibadan on Thursday, also witnessed the presentation of the party’s nomination certificate to Alli by the APC Deputy National Auditor, Hon. Gbenga Olayemi, marking another milestone in the party’s preparations for the 2027 governorship election.
Addressing party faithful at the gathering, Oyo APC Chairman, Chief Moses Adeyemo, stressed the need for members to place the collective interest of the party above personal differences.

He urged leaders, stakeholders and supporters across the state to embrace reconciliation, strengthen grassroots mobilisation and work together to reposition the APC for electoral success after years in the opposition.
Adeyemo also encouraged residents of Oyo State to continue supporting the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda remains focused on economic reforms, national development and democratic consolidation.
He expressed appreciation to Almighty Allah, party leaders, delegates from the state’s 33 local government areas and 351 wards, members of the APC National Working Committee, security agencies, women, youths, media professionals and other stakeholders whose contributions, he said, made the primary process successful.
According to him, the journey ahead requires unity, understanding and a renewed commitment from every member of the progressive family.
Alli extended a hand of fellowship to other aspirants and supporters across the party, urging them to close ranks and work collectively towards returning the APC to power in Oyo State.
He said the responsibility of building a stronger and more prosperous state could only be achieved through cooperation, sacrifice and a shared vision centred on the welfare of the people.
Looking ahead, the Oyo South senator outlined key areas that would receive priority attention if entrusted with the state’s leadership.

The 46-year-old economist graduated with a Second Class Upper degree from the Department of Economics, Obafemi Awolowo University.
He is also the immediate younger brother of the Executive Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), Dr. Zacch Adedeji.
