Otutochi “Tochi” Wigwe, daughter of the late Access Holdings Group Chief Executive Officer, Dr Herbert Wigwe, is reportedly preparing for a new chapter in her personal life, with Nigerian investment executive Wilson Omogbale Aikhomu being linked to her in reports of an impending marriage.
Details surrounding the reported relationship and possible wedding remain closely guarded, with neither Tochi nor Aikhomu publicly confirming that they are engaged or announcing a wedding date as of the time of filing this report.
Sources circulating the claim say the two have been keeping their relationship largely away from public attention and may prefer a private ceremony rather than a high-profile celebration.
However, these details could not be independently confirmed from an official statement by either family.
Tochi, who has remained in the public eye largely because of her late father’s business and philanthropic legacy, is currently a Director of the Herbert Onyewumbu Wigwe Foundation, popularly known as the HOW Foundation.
Her work is focused on social transformation, particularly in the areas of youth empowerment, education and healthcare, according to available details.
She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Social and Cultural Analysis from New York University and a master’s degree in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Management from Imperial College Business School in London.
Her professional profile identifies her as a leader working at the intersection of entrepreneurship, strategic management and social impact.
Tochi became particularly known to Nigerians following the tragic death of her father, mother and elder brother in a helicopter crash in California on February 9, 2024. 
Herbert Wigwe, his wife Chizoba and their first son, Chizi, were among the six people who died in the accident.
The tragedy thrust the Wigwe family into national mourning, with Tochi later taking on a more visible role in preserving and advancing aspects of her father’s legacy.
She has since been involved in the activities of the HOW Foundation and Wigwe University.
Aikhomu, meanwhile, is an investment professional and Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Zoya Admiralty Ltd in Lagos.
His professional career is centred on investment management, finance and capital preservation.
He is also a member of the prominent Aikhomu family and the son of the late Rear Admiral Joe Omozuwa Aikhomu.
The connection between the Aikhomu and Wigwe families has attracted additional interest because of Aikhomu’s reported association with Chizi Wigwe, Tochi’s elder brother who died in the 2024 helicopter crash.
For now, the reported marriage remains unconfirmed.
If, however, the wedding reports turned out to be true, the development would bring together two prominent Nigerian families with strong footprints in business, finance, philanthropy and public service.
Of course, for a family that has endured one of the most devastating losses in Nigeria’s corporate community in recent years, any eventual wedding announcement involving Tochi would naturally attract considerable public interest.
