The 2027 Oyo State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Sharafadeen Alli, has joined Nigerians across the country in celebrating Archbishop Francis Wale Oke, who clocks 70.
Alli described the renowned cleric as one of the prominent spiritual leaders whose influence has extended far beyond Ibadan, noting that his decades of service have brought recognition and honour to Oyo State.
In a birthday message issued on Tuesday, the senator portrayed Wale Oke as a leader whose Christian ministry has combined evangelism, mentorship and a commitment to shaping lives across different generations.
According to Alli, the archbishop’s contribution to the growth of Christianity and his efforts at developing people have earned him a distinguished place among Nigeria’s respected religious figures.
He said, “On behalf of my family and the APC family in Oyo State, I warmly congratulate one of our state’s most illustrious figures, Archbishop Francis Wale Oke, as he marks the landmark age of 70 years today.”
Alli also commended Wale Oke for what he described as a remarkable record of leadership and service, particularly his role as national president of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN).
Beyond his religious responsibilities, the APC candidate said the archbishop had distinguished himself as a voice for peace, national development and positive social transformation.
He added that Wale Oke’s five decades of commitment to Christian ministry had enabled him to influence lives and contribute to the spiritual development of communities in Nigeria and beyond.
“As you continue to expand the Kingdom and impact destinies, I pray for renewed grace, robust health, and many more fruitful years. Ibadan and Oyo State are immensely proud to have you,” Alli said.
The APC governorship hopeful further wished the cleric many more years of fruitful service, describing his 70th birthday as an opportunity to celebrate a life dedicated to faith, leadership and service to humanity.
