The University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, has announced that its Owena Dialysis Centre is now fully operational, with its dialysis machines functioning and available for patients requiring haemodialysis services.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, the hospital management said patients in need of dialysis can access treatment at the centre, subject to the hospital’s established procedures and scheduling arrangements.
According to the statement signed by UCH Public Relations Officer, Funmi Adetuyibi, the development is part of the hospital’s commitment to ensuring access to essential healthcare services and improving the quality of care available to patients.
“Patients who require haemodialysis services can therefore access care at the Owena Dialysis Centre, subject to the Hospital’s established procedures and scheduling arrangements,” the management stated.
UCH further assured patients and other stakeholders that it remains focused on the maintenance and functionality of critical medical equipment needed to support effective and uninterrupted healthcare delivery.
The hospital urged members of the public to rely on its official communication channels for accurate and timely information regarding the availability of healthcare services.
Management also expressed appreciation to patients, relatives and other stakeholders for their continued confidence and support, while reaffirming its commitment to the hospital’s tripartite mandate of training, research and clinical services.
